Palmer Police Department

The Palmer Police Department main line is (907) 745-5054. The records line is (907) 745-0943. Palmer PD is the lead source for Palmer 24 Hour Booking data inside city limits. The department keeps a current inmate roster online. The roster shows each person held at the city facility, the booking date, the charges, and the bail amount. This makes Palmer one of the few Alaska cities with a live public roster.

Palmer PD held the second highest arrest rate in the state in 2024. The department logs more than 2,000 arrests per year. That high volume reflects the role Palmer plays as the seat of the Mat-Su Borough and the home of the regional pretrial jail. Many trooper arrests across the borough end up at the Palmer facility for booking.

All requests for Palmer Police Department records must be made in writing using the official Public Records Request Form. Records cover police narrative reports, photos, accident reports, and dispatch logs. Adult arrest records are retained for 10 plus years or until the subject's death. Juvenile records are retained for 6 years or until age 18.
